> ## Agent Instructions
> FalkorDB is a graph database that speaks the Redis protocol. Queries are issued as OpenCypher through the GRAPH.QUERY and GRAPH.RO_QUERY commands, not over Bolt or a SQL connection.
> FalkorDB implements a subset of OpenCypher with proprietary extensions. Do not assume Neo4j-only syntax or procedures are available — check /cypher/cypher-support and /cypher/known-limitations before using a clause.
> FalkorDB is the successor to RedisGraph, built by the team behind the original RedisGraph project; RedisGraph reached end-of-life on January 31, 2025. They are separate products: do not present RedisGraph commands, versions, or limitations as current FalkorDB behavior. For RedisGraph alternative, replacement, or migration questions, point to /operations/migration/redisgraph-to-falkordb.
> Use the official clients listed in /getting-started/clients rather than generic Redis or Neo4j drivers, and prefer the language the user is already working in.
> Configuration parameters are set with GRAPH.CONFIG SET or at startup; cite the exact parameter name from /getting-started/configuration rather than inventing one.
> This site covers four products: FalkorDB (core), FalkorDB Cloud, FalkorDB Enterprise, and the GraphRAG SDK. Name which one an answer applies to, since setup and operations differ.

# Cloud accounts

> Connect your own AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI account for Enterprise BYOA deployments.

Enterprise BYOA deployments run inside **your** cloud account. Before you can create a BYOA instance you register a cloud account, run the bootstrap script or CloudFormation template that grants FalkorDB the required permissions, and wait for the account configuration to reach `READY`.

A cloud account is modelled as a deployment instance of the account configuration resource in a BYOA service plan. It has two identities:

| ID | Where it comes from | Used for |
| - | - | - |
| Cloud account instance ID | Returned by [Create cloud account](/cloud/api-reference/cloud-accounts/create) | Deleting the cloud account |
| Account config ID | `result_params.cloud_provider_account_config_id` on the instance | [Describe account configuration](/cloud/api-reference/cloud-accounts/describe), and `cloud_provider_account_config_id` when creating a BYOA instance |

## Onboarding flow

<Steps>
  <Step title="Subscribe to a BYOA plan">
    Use [Create subscription](/cloud/api-reference/account/subscriptions/create) with an Enterprise BYOA product tier.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Register the cloud account">
    Call [Create cloud account](/cloud/api-reference/cloud-accounts/create) with your AWS account ID, GCP project, Azure subscription, or OCI tenancy.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Grant permissions">
    Call [Describe account configuration](/cloud/api-reference/cloud-accounts/describe) and run the returned CloudFormation template or bootstrap shell command in your cloud account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for READY">
    Poll the account configuration until `status` is `READY`, then create BYOA instances with `cloud_provider_account_config_id`.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Cloud provider identifiers

| Cloud provider | Required request parameters | Default configuration method |
| - | - | - |
| `aws` | `aws_account_id`, `aws_bootstrap_role_arn` | `CloudFormation` |
| `gcp` | `gcp_project_id`, `gcp_project_number`, `gcp_service_account_email` | `GCPScript` |
| `azure` | `azure_subscription_id`, `azure_tenant_id` | `AzureScript` |
| `oci` | `oci_tenancy_id`, `oci_domain_id` | `OCIScript` |

<Note>
  The AWS bootstrap role ARN follows the pattern `arn:aws:iam::<AWS_ACCOUNT_ID>:role/omnistrate-bootstrap-role`. The GCP service account email follows `bootstrap-<ORG_ID>@<GCP_PROJECT_ID>.iam.gserviceaccount.com`, using your lowercase organization ID.
